The restaurant’s chicken roast is a rich, hearty dish that pairs excellently with parotta, delivering a satisfying texture and depth of flavor. Even humble sides like pappadam shine here, surprisingly elevated through careful preparation.

“ This hotel is a true classic with a legacy dating back to the 1910s. Despite its long history, the hotel continues to serve consistently good and fresh food, maintaining the trust of generations. Their chicken and beef biriyani have always been my favourites—flavourful, well-cooked, and satisfying every time. The freshness of the ingredients really stands out, which is something not every long-running restaurant can boast of. A reliable and nostalgic place to enjoy good food in Aluva, The Grand Hotel is definitely worth a visit. ”
“ You just got to love these places. They just don't make them like this anymore. If ur coming here on a 4 wheeler, please find a road side parking space before the restaurant itself. Coming to the ambience, it's old school. They havnt changed one bit. They have also maintained the cleanliness. The energy is great. We went in at an awkward 430 pm and still almost all tables has groups waiting to be served. The service was good as well. The boys really helped in recommendations. We ordered the customary porotta beef roast and bdf. Felt like an egg roast so got that as well. The beef roast was average but the bdf was good. A little disappointed with the food but the overall experience was good. I've also heard that their snacks are a must try (puffs, parampuri, etc..). One of a few old school spots around kochi with their legs still moving running. ”
“ We ordered appam, porotta, chicken curry and beef fry. The food was good at reasonable rates. There is no wait time the food is served fastly. ”
“ Worth the hype. It didn’t get famous overnight, I’ve heard about this place for a very long time, but could only visit recently. One of the best biryanis in the EKM district. I’m also a fan of the small rice (kaima). It’s that! The chicken is well cooked, and the masala is perfect. I don’t know why, but even the pappadam tasted really good. ”
“ It's a very old place known for it's authentic taste and Biriyani. It's a full on happening place. Still the service was so good. They were all so nice to serve us even in this heat and rush... The food was great but my husband said it's not that great compared to the older times. ”
